Whether you're an adult learner or a family raising bilingual kids, Ruckus is here to provide a unique and effective way of learning and practicing Spanish.
Each lesson is built around a piece of children’s literature. This keeps the lessons fun, engaging, and dynamic. In these lessons, we'll use picture books, early readers, and chapter books to build vocabulary, improve comprehension, and practice speaking.

A select number of free or reduced-cost lessons are offered as they become available through community support. Not ready to sign up but want to help offset the cost for someone else? Purchase a sponsorship class! These classes are then offered to community members needing financial support.

Adult Spanish Through Children's Books
These lessons are perfect for beginner and intermediate-level parents, caregivers, educators, librarians, and anyone interested in learning Spanish through stories.
Private and group lessons available.
Solidarity Level
You are struggling to pay your bills, are supporting others, have limited to no income, or have no access to savings. I offer a select number of FREE services per month, with the costs covered by community gifting.
Children's Spanish Through Storybooks
These lessons are perfect for beginner and intermediate-level young learners (from toddlers to teens). Each lesson uses carefully selected children's books to introduce Spanish vocabulary, phrases, and conversation in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Children leave with a positive relationship to both reading and language learning.
Private and group lessons available.
Community Level
You can meet your basic needs but have little to no savings and limited financial flexibility. This tier helps cover operational costs and keeps free and reduced-cost options available to others.
Family Spanish Through Children’s Books
These lessons are for learning together! Designed for parents, caregivers, grandparents, homeschooling families, and children who want to build Spanish skills as a family, learn vocabulary, songs, stories, and conversation strategies together.
Private and group lessons available.
Pricing Structure
My prices vary service-to-service and your financial security plays a role.
There are four levels of the pricing scale:
Supporter Level
You can meet your basic needs, pay for services like this, and have limited savings. This tier covers operational costs, supports my labor, and provides reduced-cost options.
Sponsor-A-Lesson
By sponsoring a class, you’re helping another community member or family learn Spanish by offsetting the cost of their lesson.
A select number of free or reduced-cost lessons are then offered as they become available through community support.
Sustainer Level
You have access to savings, own property, or take vacations. You help subsidize others. This tier covers operational costs and my labor, and funds free and reduced-cost offerings for the community.
